Allan "Roarey" Fildes, January 1986 - June 2025
Who is Roarey?
Roareyraccoon, "Roarey," or Allan, was a furry artist who was part of the furry fandom since the late 1990s until the year 2025. Roarey became an artist specifically because of his want to create specific content he wanted to see. He found art of his specific taste in the fandom were rarer and lacked a variety of artists creating it. He was wanting to have a much less sexually explicit focus, and use of softer colors and more grounded character designs. Being largely asexual but finding himself among peers and friends drawing erotic works, his work focused on other forms of romance like kissing, cuddling, or sometimes more niche, less explicit character interactions like tickling which was a more prominent theme of his art. A majority of his personal art would consist of simply furry cartoons he felt were cute, often adapting characters he was fond of into his iconic "fluffy" humanoid style. This would change later in his art career to creating several of his own personal characters, usually combining design elements and colors he was particularly fond of to create personally ideal characters. They often didn't have a name, but would reoccur in his art. Although he took a number of commissions of many different scenarios or themes, his personal art very often focused on soft visuals, desaturated colors, and male romance. Through his furry characters, he often displayed many of his thoughts about the world through his art. Usually this involved practice sketches featuring the character speaking about a thought or belief Roarey wanted to express, but sometimes said expressions would extend to finished works as well. The whole process was considered therapeutic for him, and allowed him to vent frustrations or share things he considered truths. This initially got him support, as his early works that actually featured these elements would often focus on atheism and positions popular with both centrists and left-wing identifying people at that time. Later in his career, there was a major shift to both conservative and disaffected "classic liberal" philosophy and talking points. He did art for the furry convention Confuzzled in 2010, and made several connections with local furries. During this time, you can find many pieces of art he made as gifts to other furries, and several furry artists made gift art in return. This website is an attempt to archive everything he has made, so that despite the fact he has left us, he won't be forgotten. Roarey was never fond of art being lost, so I will make sure the same doesn't happen to his own.
Addendum - about NSFW or 18+ artwork
Please note this archive will also attempt to contain all of his 18+ pornographic works, for the sake of preservation. These were almost entirely paid works from different customers, and he was very tolerant of customers with strange and exotic interests. Much of this content won't be representative of Roarey's own views or taste. This is an art archive first and foremost, so ALL art will be accounted for. The option to hide pornographic works will be on by default, however if you wish to view them this can be disabled in the gallery page.
A note from his partner.
Allan was possibly one of the strongest individuals I've ever had the luxury to know. He was brilliant, caring, and one of the most beautiful souls I've ever met. What he went through in his personal life was enough to break most people, but he persisted no matter what. Even when the opposition was the fandom he once called home, he was continuing to express what he believed was right no matter how much ire it drew his way. Always reading, always growing. There was a period we agreed on very little, and despite the constant little arguments we had, we both knew we'd be friends in the end anyway. I stayed by him no matter what, recognizing what I saw as a brilliant and genuine person. This is why I fell in love with him, and him with me. He was a man I loved and still do love. I will carry him with me for the rest of my life.
